is there any advantages to run after market cam gears on the stock evo cams?

 

i have mine set at -5,-5 and i have a lot of top end power

 

no, put the money towards a tune

 

cam gears on oem cams get you loads of top end power. you will have to get tuned for the wot stuff.

when it time to get smogged, just put the cam gears to 0/0.

cam gears might not be the most cost effective means of getting power, but my car with oem cams @ -5/-5 ran strong. aftermarket cams then only gained me ~15-20whp.

 

i have cams on my car and its tuned do i have to retune it if i will install cam gears???
