down pipe on evo 9

Need to install a d/p on my evo 9. Hv already installed exst manifold & cat back hks 3" exst...

My question is: is it better to hv a 2.75" or a 3" d/p??

Some people say since the engine & turbo are stock and is not outputting very high power, it's better to hv the d/p 2.75" o'wise, o'wise it will be too big for the turbo...

Plz lemme hv yr opinion...

basic bolt ons a 2.75" will do...they are designed more or less to clear the ACD since the overall diameter is smaller

most people including myself run a 3" dp

Get a 2.75 if its good enough for RRE it should be good enough for your car too. Plus most 3 inch dp will not clear your ACD

yeah i think im gonna go for the 2.75". I believe it's somewhat pointless to go bigger than that unless yr looking for 370+ hp...

I have a 3 inch no problem here. Only thing is that I had to use some spacers so that it didn't rub on the cross bar that is bolted under the dp.

I personally like and use the Tanabe 2.75" coupled to a 3" Random Flow Tech Cat and Greddy Ti-C with the reducer removed. Smooth transitions from turbo outlet to the tail pipe.
