i'm looking for a good reliable turbo timer for my evo. any recommendations? also, anyone know how long to cool the turbo for a drive in the city, a long drive, and a hard drive? also, i'ld appreciate any recommendations on good deals for the timers as well.

I don't know any specifics on good turbo timers here in the states but they make some turbo timers that will automatically determine how much time your car needs to cool down for you. If the timer isn't automatic the settings are usually for 1, 3, and 5 minutes. For a city drive I would set it to 1 minute, for a highway drive if it isn't too long about 3 minutes, and if you are really getting on it for an extended period of time 5 minutes. Its best if you just use your own judgement.

Most should auto calculate the time to idle, and you also get the option of turning it off or manually typing a timeframe in. There's two that most people on here choose:

HKS Type 1 - other features include 0-60 timing, 1/4 mile timing.
Blitz DTT (I have) - has built in digital boost gauge with peak hold, and is nice and small.
