i have a few friends that tell me that a aftermarket flywheel will rob power on top end but will gain down low...is this true? because i like top end power and was thinking of getting a flywheel when i get a clutch as well...any input would be greatly appreciated....

I have heard the same. I have a ACT Pro lite flywheel installed on my EVO, I don't think there is any different from 0-150. I noticed a quicker spool and thats it.

ideally you want your entire bottom end balanced including the flywheel. most cars will never have a problem with a lighter flywheel in the long run you will have a quicker revving motor and quicker spool
