Sounds like a belt to me. I'd bet if you watch the belt real close the markings on the backside of the belt would make the noise as they pass over the tensioner pulley. Try this quick diagnosis. Hold a crayon carefully on the the back of the belt while its running and see if the noise goes away when cold. The wax should stop the noise.
