well I have a 37r and am going for 9's, my motor is a built 2l, just wondering if it is worth it for me to sell the 37 and get the hta35, my 37 has a 63 a/r I know I would have to upgrade to a .82 a/r to get my topend goals for the drag strip but I drive the car everyday and I think the lag of a 37r with a .82 exhaust housing would be annoying. So people have upgraded from a normal 35r and haven't seen that big of a differance, i need 700 whp and some what streetable is this possible??

I wouldn't trade your gt37r ... it should be more then enough to get you into the 9's

Many people have said it... the hardest part about getting any car into the 9's is driving. By any means I am NOT saying you can't drive, I don't even know you. But I am very sure that the gt37r is more than capable of hitting 9's

What are some of the fastest GT37R quartermile times and MPH. Also Dyno #'s?

We know the HTA35r can do 700HP and 150 MPH in a Street car w/ the best 35r spool up time to boot..

That's always the kicker for me is when people upgrade before the turbo is maximized. Curt Brown had the fastest 37R time 9.33@153+..... IMO it's hard to beat a properly setup 35-37R for a street/strip car. The turbos are to close in size to say there is a large tangible difference....a couple hundred in spool 30-40whp.

You can't go wrong with either.

I am still torn, i love the 37r but if the HTA can spool sooner make around the same power and trap 150 mph, it boils down to which turbo is best for the street seeing is this is my DD.

No, it doesn't make the same power it's down 30-40whp.

buschur clarified this over and over again...

saying that there was no difference in peak potential with the HTA over the regular 35R..

I still went with a 37R.....only way I'll change is if a HTA37R came out..

^so therefore, it's just spool...

Guys who choose the 37R I assume, would be for drag racing...that 40whp potential over the HTA35R, will count for better results on the strip..

It is still the better choice IMO for a drag application.

On a road course may be a different story...

But as I said...anyone choosing a 37R should have drag racing on their brain.
I'm with "4c3fed"....I'm also going for 9's with a 37R
