which turbo...on my built engine?

i am in the process of building my eninge...with cp pistons 85.5s 9:1 compression ratio and hks rods.i have a ported head / springs & retainers / AMS vsr / GSC s1 cams / head studs / boost control / greddy FMIC + upper and lower pipes / and the whole nine yards..i have every single bolt on possible...stock ecu and a very good tuner

i am running the stock turbo now @ 26.5psi on 94pump yielding about 400hp/420trq

i am ready to go to the next level...built 2.0 and a bigger turbo...however i will only be on pump.. pushing about the same boost ~26-27psi.

i got 3 questions which i would appreciate some input on:

1-any better combo to go with in terms of pistons and rods over cp and hks?
2-FP green or BR3065?
3-if i go 3065..do you recommend i step up to the S2 cams?

my car never does road racing nor auto-x...i street and/or drag race....which would be more beneficial for me on the straights?

thanks in advance

I just finished a 2.0 build with a buschur 3065 and cosworth cams. This is a IX. Feels really good. Still breaking it in so no numbers yet. Should be around 550awhp.

You will get used to the lag and wont notice it anymore. You will outgrow any of the 30r's you choose with the racing you do, everyone does . I recommend the 35r. Plus if your going to be drag/street racing, you will appreciate the top end and completely forget about the extra few hundred rpm's of lag.

Oh yea, JUN 272's for cams.

there is a saying that the GT30r performs similarly to a 35r under at <30 psi

You may want to double check because I think that JUN 272's for the IX head have already been released. Is your cylinder head ported to take advantage of the higher lift, longer duration cams?

What octane number is your pump gas over there anyway? 27 PSI with 9.0:1 compression on 100 octane R.O.N.(Research Octane Number), which is equivalent to our 93 octane( R+M/2) high test gasoline, seems a bit overly optimistic.

On a setup like you are projecting, a lot of guys here in the states would be running meth/alcohol injection combined with pump gas, The advantage of meth injection is that it allows you to run higher boost levels(30 + PSI).

I personally wouldn't run a fullhouse 35R on a 2 liter on pumpgas without meth injection. The 3065 configured with the Forced Performance HTA compressor wheel will probably be your best bet on a 2 Liter motor limited to running pumpgas without the help of meth injection. Or you could do a twinscroll 3076. Or checkout the ETS website, as they build a series of turbokits from 57 trim through 61 trim, one of which might fit your needs.

If you really want to, the Apexi Isamu RX6 turbo kit would really fit the bill. It's spool like a 30R but have the power potetial of a 35R. It's really pricey new, but you can get used unit for really good price. I made 430 whp on 21 psi with 93 octane and a super conservative tune (10.5 AFR in boost). I made 340 whp and 320 ft/lbs of torque @ 5K rpm and my friend with the 35R kit made 225 whp and 235 ft/lbs of torque @ 5K rpm.
