i have a handful of customers with the ebay/xs power turbo kits, we do service on their cars. I dont recommend the china made crap but they went with it anyways. Every single one of them has had a turbo failure from debris going through the turbo. The manifolds are extremely poorly welded and there is so much 'sugar' buildup as welders usually call it inside the collectors that its just a matter of time before that crap heats up and breaks off. seriously guys the crap is $130 for a reason. Why anyone would hang a $700-1500 turbo off of a $130 manifold and not expect trouble is beyond me.

metal is not metal... and i hope you are joking that "welds can be rewelded" ... that is absolutely 100% not true...

we've seen this too many times -- the customers say "its the same as full-race but 1/10th the price" ... even better than that is when customers send these pieces of garbage into us and tell us "my full-race manifold cracked, please fix it" and we get these horrid pieces of garbage in here and the customers really think its ours becuase its "Full-Race style" and "I bought it on ebay"

my friends at XS engineering get the same thing...

I also bought the ebay manifold, all welds look fine exept the ones in the collector.
Im saving $2000 by doing the turbo kit myself. I will repeat some welds and reenforce the manifold in some places. If you have $$ go for the real deal, but I dont and will take the risk to save some $$$, I will also do the intercooler piping with 2.75 and 2.5 piping I bought on ebay.
I have a nissan SR20 dragster with this same type of manifold, and It cracked. I did some reinforcing and it never failed again, I even have it with an Ebay turbo t3t4, car goes low 9s with a mainly stock engine, only a 272 cam. I dont recomend the ebay turbo for everyday use, doesnt look as if it will last.

UHMM, ok?

Well, I bought the head and turbo flange from a shop back home in Puerto Rico called Hi Boost like a year ago and got the runners from Burns Stainless. I have a couple of engines that i use as mockups. Im an aircraft mechanic by trade and have access to a bunch of welding equipment. I can weld from Titanium to magnesium. It took me like 2 months, bit by bit after work. I DID get IDEAS for design from the PROS in the field as Full Race, AMS, AFI and Inovative (in Puerto Rico) and Burns Stainless (collector). I built this for ME, im not trying to sell this stuff thats why i GAVE it to my friend (bigric09). It cost me not even 300 to make it. If you have 1k to spend go ahead. I dont and I have more fun Building my toys. Ive been building 10 sec cars from scratch for over 10 years. So say what ever. Have a good day, sir.

I guess around here you gotto post pics and make a step by step how to video to clear you name. Im making a top mount next for mine. Ill keep you in mind!

Well i got the manifold and the donwpipe last night only had a chance to look at it today. The downpipe does look very nice peace the welds look nice inside out but the manifold is scary inside. The out side of the manifold welds look ok some of the places have to much welds on them like they were trying to fix a hole or something inside is very bad, the collectors inside is just scary, welds are all over the place and i would not put my sc61 turbo on this manifold. Plus the manifold does not fit you have to make the holes bigger on the manifold to make it work. So I’m sending it back getting my refund and buying the hafe manifold.

Geoff, yes its true the collector looks terrible, if Im not able to fix it I will not use it.
The dragster has RAS , springs, and tit retainers, also z32 maf and jim wolf ecu with big injectors, so is only stock pistons , rods, and head, also has an ebay intake manifold. Im building a second car with better parts on the motor and a bigger turbo.

Also , to the guy that says his friend welded the manifold I can say yours is a fake too, is exactly as mine, even the straingt tubes have a different color as if they were sanded and the outside welds have the same defects. Maybe your friend took off the emblem and did a little finishing but is a fake. If you paid more than $200 for those headers , you were scammed,
a picture of my ebay headers beside your picture will show you.
