Help with clutch problem

Alright so I have the ACT street clutch in my evo now with about 10k miles on it and I dont drive it like I stole it. The clutch started sticking back in the summer so I had the clutch line bled and re-adjusted. Havent driven all that much besides the 5hour drive to pittsburgh from philly. Car was driving fine, but now everytime I shift, the clutch sticks to the floor and I have to manually pop it back up. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the throw out bearing is getting stuck on the input shaft. As above, probably the bearing and not the clutch unit.

That sounds downright dangerous for driving.

I think it's unfair to label this an "ACT street clutch problem" at this point. Did you install a new TOB when it was put in? Was the install done by a reliable shop? I think you'll find many, many satisfied ACT owners on here. What I'm saying is there could very likely be some other component here that should have the thumbs down symbol next to it.

Mine did that also. It only stuck for a second everytime. I fixed it by beating the living crap out of it! hahahaha

its not bad enough that i have to reach down, i can pop it with my foot so my eyes dont leave the road, but yea it is real dangerous. I rarely rarely drive it now because of it. I thought it was just locking out because ive heard a lot on how act clutches lock out and i got a little over 10k miles on the clutch so i figured maybe it was part of that. Im not to familar with my drivetrain. I know i sound like an idiot asking but what exactly is the TOB. Thumbs down cause i was just frustrated when i posted this.

On another note, now that im pushing 340 at the wheels w/ fp green, would you guys suggest i upgrade to a more power associated clutch or is the act street clutch capable of handling that hp w/out problems.

Isn't there a spring on the petal? Maybe something happened to it. Even if the TOB was getting stuck wouldn't there just be a space between the fork thing sticking out of the trans and the slave cylinder?

I say check the spring

tob means your throw out bearing. like mentioned above it could be getting hung up on the input shaft which is keeping the pedal from returning to normal position. i highly doubt that its the spring.

or it can be as simple as a bad slave cylinder.... i have an Act clutch and the same happened to me... clutch would get stuck at the floor... and it ended up being the slave cylinder... so check that out.. and just because the fluid is full doesnt mean that the slave is good... that happened to me to...

Sounds like your TOB. There are complaints about lock out on single disc clutches...... which is not the problem you're describing and doesn't sound like it has anything to do with ACT.
