I'd give just about as much props to the welder as to AMS's marketing.

Those pics are so pretty and with the snazzy logo they just look so professional.

However, I must say, I don't exactly look forward to picking up the phone and calling them when I need a part. Not the most enthusiastic and friendly frontline support there.

I can't comment on anyone other than Eric Gaudi. If you haven't gotten a response you like I highly recommend talking to Eric. He's the Sales Manager and has ALWAYS been a pleasure to work with. Very punctual, polite, answers every question I have ever thrown at him, and I could not find a single complaint towards them.

Their product support after purchase is incredible as well. I will continue to be a customer because of how well I have been treated.

I think this whole who has a better turbo kit thing needs to stop we get the point. ETS, AMS , BR, FULL RACE , PEAK BOOST who cares.

People will buy what they want to buy.

julio,

We are starting nothing. We are merely highlighting a process that we use when making a header.... Are we in the wrong for not informing the public on how we do things? how can a customer "buy what they want to buy" when they are not completely informed on it???

People are spending 3-5 THOUSAND dollars on a turbo kit. I don't care who you are but that is a lot of money. When i'm shopping for anything costing that much I want to know as MUCH AS I CAN about the item.

I'm sure I am not alone on this.

CCrain, I am sorry if you were treated incorrectly on the phone. sometimes things get really hectic here and we try our best to be enthusiastic but sometimes the stress gets the best of us. I assure you its a rarity and we would love the opportunity to make it up to you.

Give me a call anytime 847 709-0530 my extension is 2011 and I will be happy to help you out

Eric

I see this as an informative thread about how there processs works with making each manifold! Great stuff by AMS!

You can't be upset about them advertising they pay to do that on these forums!

Eric

You forgot the pic of the weld from the inside. . . the real reason as to why Chris purged it in the first place. Come on show everyone how pretty it comes out when purging.

AMS ftw

I really think EvoM needs a welding and fabricating forum

That header needs to be on display in the Guggenheim Museum. Those beads are so beautiful!

That is sweet!!

Approx. how many hours does it take to fab the header...not polishing, just to weld it up?

Just welding with prep is typically the good portion of a day or more

No you are not. I agree w/ you and that comment should not have been made, cause you never went there in this thread, just trying to show the process which I think is awesome. I have always loved your manifolds. Pics really dont do them justice until you see them in person. Keep up the good work guys!

That polished manifold is beautiful; I feel bad going w/ another turbokit knowing I could have had this instead. If I ever go bigger you guys will definitely get my business.

On a side note, AMS has awesome customer service and will take the time to answer all your questions. I was in the shop the other day and Santiago took the time to answer all my questions and was very informative. I find threads like these very helpful for me and gives me a better understanding of why a quality product deserves to cost a little more than the competition.
