boost creep problems, help

I’ve got a real boost creep problem. I only installed TBE, still the factory o2 housing… I left the factory solenoid connected. The boost hit 24psi in 2nd gear. I live in minnesota and I know cold is a huge contributor to creep. I’ve read most of the Boost Creep posts with no luck.

Currently I have the WG actuator connected directly to the turbo output with 4mm vacuum line. Boost starts a 10 and goes to 23-24 and then I let off.
People also say that there are no real Boost Creep issues with EVO VIII and IX’s. So am I just crazy?
I have a 1g and I remember when I installed a 16g on it with 3” TBE it had boost creep as well. I know the WG opening on that vintage of 16G is very small. I fixed that with an external WG.
Is it possible to enlarge the waste gate hole enough to make a real difference with 12 psi of total creep on my IX????
Here is another shot in the dark…I bought a used Megan racing O2 housing on e-batch for cheep. I think it is the real thing? It has a Megan racing sheet metal tag welded on it (looks laser engraved)? Do people port the hole going between the two passages, it looks small. Could this help the creep as well?

Where did you get that 4mm vacuum line? It's not one of those, that was connected to the solenoid, is it?
And no there are no boost creep issues except random ones, where people install certain parts. Not something that happens to most.

Also you said you changed your exhaust and hit 24 psi - that's not creep, that's the boost you hit. So i guess i'm not even sure what you're asking here...

I used new line.* The actuator has something like a 10 psi spring correct, 24 is not the boost I should hit with a direct connection to the WG. The boost should be somewhat linear. So would porting out the WG hole on the turbo make any difference to be worth my labor?* Will the Megan o2 housing make any difference when it comes to boost creep?

I don't think I'm getting this right. You have the WG actuator connected to the turbo output? Why is that?

What happens if you leave the WG actuator totally disconnected? You should get 11~12 psi with that configuration, if it's totally stock

What are you talking about? If the wastegate actuator is disconnected from anything I should get a maximum boost situation. What I’m saying is that I tried to see what it would do in a minimum boost situation.
I know what the logical issue is, it needs more wastegate flow to regulate the BP better. I will try porting the wastegate hole and installing the Megan o2 housing…

Lowest boost for a stock system is 11~12psi. Did you move your wastegate arm or something?
