hey guys i own a 2003 mitsu evo 8 i poste don this thread and on another one on the same site didnt knwo really where to put this



i am looking to go gt30r with it int he next month and im looking at everyone else setup and im confused...right now i have a hks intake that has the MAF in the intake tube if i go 30r wherw woudl the maf go i see alot of kits with out the maf ebing there

anyone have any idea so i know...??

is there a certain part that i should buy to move it or anything? should i get blow thru maf? or maf translator?

the kits your seeing without the maf are runnin AEM EMS which doesn't need it. The EMS uses speed density or MAP(manifold absolute pressure) and air temp to calculate airflow. If you get a kit, it should come with an intake to use with the maf. A 30r can be used with a maf with no problems, no real need to get rid of it.

 

The MAF stays.. You will just have to adapt it to work with a 4 inch intake pipe unless you go to a stand alone.

 

ok cuz i was thinking of goign gt3076r with the 3 inch inlet .63 a/r and the intake i have right now is the hks suction with the honey bee cone i was wondering also do u guys know of nay sites who sells 3-4 inch intakes for our cars?
