Unhappy Oil leak between the T-case and Trany( H E L P ! ! ! ! !)

I didn't drive my car for 9 days and it was just park inside my garage....When I back up I saw oil on the floor. Then went to the shop to get it lifted.

Im getting oil leak in between the tranny and transfer case. We checked the oil level on both and it seems to be full. Would it be possible that they(MITSU) over filled it up before?
where elso do I need to check? I also cheked my engine oil and its still on the right level.

Got pics today:

if its dark colored its probably trans fluid, its its light tan, or whitish, its tcase fluid. i think i had the same problem your talking about and well i forgot to keep tabs on the level and ended up shatterin the dif in the tcase. wouldnt hurt to check the rear diff i suppose either. if the rear dif, tcase, trans, and the eng. has oil drive it and see if any levels go down. could have been water or somethin, never know till ya see somethin low imo

engine was rebuilt(new block) 3months ago. Of course they pulled my T-case and Tranny/clutch and put all back together.

yea then wicked could be right the rubber oring between the trans and tcase could be fudged up or just not there in general...

that sucks to have to pull that apart to check... i hated doin my clutch then my tcase, hated it

ooorrrr you could just drive it a bit and keep check on the levels and maybe...MAYBE... you wont have to pull it all apart

what color is it, engine oil color, lighter? all the levels are good? the tcase and trans fill wholes should be at level with the fluid maybe even slightly drip out. mits could have overfilled but to drip out in the case a gasket would have had to blew out. id take it right back to mitsu and b!tch man, pay that much money for somethin i wouldnt want even the slightest problem

Take it back to who did your motor. Have them pull the transfer case out and see if the rubber o-rings are there. If not, replace them and put it back together.

The small rubber o-ring between the trans and transfer case is commonly lost.

OR.. just happened to mine... O-ring for speed sensor split and oil was in valley of sensor sloshing around and down between x-fer and trans. Just another theory.

Maybe the O ring isnt seated right and it got pinched and finally split? That could explain the sudden leak (i've seen it before). Sorry man, looks like TC has to come out to be sure.

I had the same problem but my fluid was a dark blackish color and it turned out that i had a crack inside the trans causing the problem, I just ended up converting to a 5 speed.

Can I just by the internals of the Tranny and T-case? Where can I get them? (synchro/spider gears etc...etc...) and Let my local shop rebuild them.
