flywheel resurfacing?

flywheel resurfacing?

ok so as some of you know i am having to replace my clutch right now, i have an aluminum fidanza flywheel in my car right now with about 10k on it and what im trying to find out is if anyone knows if the fidanza flywheel can be resurfaced or if i am going to need to replace my flywheel to. can some one shed some light on this for me, thanks in advance guys

You can't resurface an aluminum flywheel, you have to buy another steel friction insert and replace it if need be. The flywheel is aluminum but the part that makes contact with the disc is steel along with the ring gear that the starter makes contact with.
