Help with TwinScroll 35R Turbo!!!

First off I hope this is in the right section and I apologize if it's not.

So here's the story. My uncle is a very well established welder and fabricator by trade (30+yrs.). His fulltime job is within the Pharmaceutical Industry so he's very good at welding Stainless (TIG). He is willing to fabricate a manifold for me but he asked me to give him as much info as possible as far as specs ie...length of runners, thickness of flanges, wall thickness of runners.....etc. So here's what I've gathered by searching through posts and other sites. (It's not much)

Material: 304 Stainless
Flange Thickness: 3/8"
Inner Diameter of Runners: 1.75"
Runner Wall Thickness: .078" about 2mm
T3/T4 Flange for the 35R
Collector: 4-1

Well that's about it. As far as twin scroll I don't know much about it or the difference in the flange. Any and all help is appreciated.

equal length runners,

if you want it twin scroll i believe some manifolds are 4-2-1.

wow 61 views and nothing....either my information that I've gathered is sufficient or people are viewing this Thread as just another wasted use of good space on this board. I sure hope not.

With twin scroll, the collector will be more like 4 into 2, as the turbine housing has two inlets instead of just one. If you see a picture you'll know what I mean. For material, 321 stainless will probably be a much better choice. You can find everything you need to know on google.

Thanks alot. I was reading an article last night about custom manifold in an old Turbo Magazine. It also suggested 321 as my best option. I'll also be looking into a Burns collector. I'm sure they'll have what I'm looking for. I believe you run ports 1-4 and 2-3 together for the twin scroll.

If you want it to be true twin scroll you need to verify the firing order of your engine. I'm not an EVO guy just using my brothers account to reply. You need to match it up so the cylinders fire in a way so they flow smoothly. Here's a picture of my manifold.
As you can see you will also need to tie both sides together for the wastegate or run two wastegates. Usually with a GT35R you would run two wastegates or you will get boost creep. The welding for a twin scroll manifold can be pretty tricky since you need to match the cylinders and get them on the correct side. On my car 1/4 go together and 2/3 go together. Also do you already have the turbo? You can get a T3 GT35R but its not a true GT35R if you do. If you want the best matched turbo go with the T4 housing. If you want to simplify things I would order a merge collector from Burns and then the rest would be simple and you will have great flow with that collector.

well I would also suggest making it a stepped manifold (unless its a drag race manifold) also work out your "ideal" lengths based on the localized mach speed and your cam specs. That is where you will get your length from.
