very laggy?.. 42Rs are not remotely designed for street use. Certainly with a stroked motor and all the fixins you could make it livable. You'll spend BIG bucks tho.

What are you trying to do?

just about every EVO running faster than 9.99 in the 1/4 uses that size turbo. works best on a built 2.0-2.1L that can rev to at least 10K rpm.

if ur looking to build a street racer u will get no help here.

if u want a drag monster there are plenty of options as long as ur pockets are ankle deep...

FYI: It's NOT a good idea to go to a stroker with a turbo that size!

oh right, guess you are going to have to tell norris design and RC developemnts that then!

...and they are not drag cars!

by the way norris design recently builts a 2.3ltr 4g63 with a GT42RS for a customer that made over 1000bhp on the engine dyno and was fully spooled by 5250 rpm!

Chris.

Thank you USP.

A 42r need a rev range to 10,000+ a stroker will NEVER turn that high.

Not to mention, aren't ND's strokers using a custom 92 or 94mm stroke crank vs. the 100mm offered from the 4g64? This makes a world of difference as far as revs go.

What car are you putting this in a WRX. Looks like you dont have a evo.

Ive been in a 42R evo and drove one for a day. I didnt notice lag at all. Really your not going to hit full boost on the street by the time you hit 20psi your about to hit someone. Go with a 35R its fun you can run pump gas you dont have to have as many supporting mods.

yeah i think both NDs and RCDevelopments cranks are custom. still pretty cheap here though! and i think the RC cranks is actually a 2.4 but they are reving just as hard as the ND cars.

Cheers Chris.
