How new is your motor? When i rebuilt mine i re-used the valve cover gasket since there was only 7,500 miles on the motor. You will need to buy some sealer to re seal the valve cover, i recommend "ultra black", its a gasket adhesive and it is all i use at my shop as far as that goes.

You will be taking the timing belt off in order to switch your cams and cam gears, it can be a little tricky putting the timing belt on but you do not "need" a special tool if you are experienced with this type of work.

probably some cam seals would be a good idea and maybe a new valve cover gasket. like mentioned above you can get the timing belt back on without the tool but if i was you id upgrade the timing belt as well. just my opinion but i think whenever adding cams its a good idea to replace the t-belt as well.

The timing belt tool makes life easier if it is your first time doing this kind of job but you do not "need" it. I also just realized you have a 2003 so it would be wise buying a new valve cover gasket, i recommend buying a gasket sealer so you can minimize leaks.
