Ivey Tuned Customers Please Chime In!!!
he reccomends hks vcon pro..he was trying to get me to switch to that i didnt want to go with it because its locked and only certified vconpro tuners can tune it......hes a great tuner knows exactly what hes doing..but make sure u dedicate the whole day on being there he usually isnt on time...
THERE ARE ONLY 5 OR 6 GUYS IN THE EAST COAST TOPS
SO YOU ARE BASICALLY SCREWED ..YOU GO TO THE TRACK AND WANNA CHANGE YOUR LAUNCH RPM YOU CANT, YOU WANNA ADJUST FOR TEMP YOU CANT .. NICE SYSTEM BUT IT COMES WITH HANDCUFFS
I haven't stopped tuning AEM cars all together, but I would like to move in that direction for a few reasons.
I am tired of dealing with issues based out of hardware failures with the aem boxes, there is a considerable of amount of my time spent dealing with that. There are a few other reasons too. I will tune them for most of my old customers, but if you are getting a new system I will recommend this one. I have been doing alot of them and I am happy with the results, very happy. Working on a few tricks to get it totally obd 2 compliant so as to pass ........... :-)
I do the motec systems from time to time and alot more of the Autronic plugin boxes, those are good too.
There are several tuners that tune the vpro, it is the most popular system for these cars over in Japan where these cars come from.
Launch RPM can be changed without using the SW.
Maps can be switched via mixture controller( 4 different ones stored by trim maps) or dip switches on the front of the unit.
The navigator can also be used.
Adjust for temp? That is the job of the tuner so for a fellow like you feel free to get whatever system you want and you should be able to tune it yourself.
I am not here to cater to those that tune their own cars(what would be the point) if that is what you want to do, why bother contacting me.

I also recommend Sean as well. He tuned my GT3076R setup and made and incredible (480whp) with that turbo. Awesome guy to deal with regarding questions about the tune. He will also be re-tuning my new setup with the 72mm Turbonetics turbo, when its finished in April.

You are in great hands with Sean tuning your car. Please take his advice when he suggests what system is best, as he has tuned pretty much all of them on many different platforms and wouldn't steer you in the wrong direction.
I have no complaints about ivey... I highly recommend him. He is very easy to deal with, and like others have said, he isn't afraid to answer your questions no matter how stupid.
Sean, best of luck to you this year with your evo, I can't wait to hear some results!
