Clean MAF while car running?

Heard this... Wise ? in order to help in clean the intake pipe/track? Wasn't sure this was a wise suggestion and wanted to run it by a few people...

Not a good idea especially w/ the car running. Just take it off and clean it; even though the fluid dries quickly it can get sucked into your turbo which probably isn't too great for it.

^^yeah just take it off with the car off!!!!........whenever you can avoid getting anything sucked into turbo then AVOID it!!......

Agree w/ taking it off. Be very gentle with the sensor also. It is delicate.

Take it off the car.....spray the sensor with some MAF cleaner. Put back on the car. That is ALL you need to do.

If it is on the car running, it will be recieving all kinds of wierd signals while you are jacking with it.
