On alot of the wrx forums i go to they say on a stock wrx getting an air intake does nothing for the car until you get a different ecu and other mods first.....does this also apply to the evo 8?

Basically that is true. A lot of people have removed intakes and gone back to the stock box and it runs better. (drivability)

Well it aids topend, as you can flow more air, but if your WRX turbo is stock wothout any exhaust, it will not really ebenfit and may hurt the lowend.

But to make big power, it is necessary.
