Norris Design 2008 Spec?

posted 11 January, 2008 09:50 AM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ren - Thats not actually correct, although you're right I haven't kept it quiet as I have nothing to gain from doing so with a simple spec change.

New spec is as below;

Long rod ND 94mm stroker engine (950Hp)
HKS Le Mans inlet manifold
Longitudinal Engine Position
Top mount GT42R
Skyline Front Diff
Skyline Rear Diff
Skyline Transfer Box (Uprated By Sumo Poweer)
Holinger Double Overdrive RD6 Sequential Gearbox
New aero package to assist with Time attack

All major shell fab being done by Hauser as we speak.

Cheers

Si

First a short wheelbase 2-door Evo...

Now a longitudinal engine and skyline trans and diffs?

Norris Designs definitely throwing down in 2008.

Would love to see him come out and spank some of the US time attack cars.

Most definitely, Simon should bring his new ride to the U.S., in addition to any other Evo he's purpose built for the quarter-mile, and run them all against the "Buschur Design", "Dynoflash Design", and the, "A.M.S. Design", Evos. I'd pay to see that!

How did Norris and RC do in their last TA against the best Japan has to offer?

I don't think Norris went. I believe RC did pretty well amongst Evo's... a few famous Japanese drivers drove the RC car and were impressed. One of them said with a different front diff they could have gone much faster around Tsukuba.

Here is the thread on the MLR about the trip....

Here is a vid of RC around Tsukuba:

Maybe Norris, RC, AMS, and Buschur can all go next year and compete against the Japanese?

It's hard to tell from the pic, but I imagine it would be individual throttle bodies.
