Please Advise!!

Just Recently Got A 2003 Evo 8 With 65,ooo Miles On It. I Believe The Timing Belt Is Almost Due, And What Other Things Should I Start Looking At? Also If I Replace The Timing Belt, Should I Replace The Water Pump? And Last But Not Least, How Can I Get Rid Of The Check Engine Light? I Know Its Because Of The O2 Sensor, Would A Cel Fix Kit Help? Please Advise!!! Thanks!

You should replace the balance shaft belt, water pump, timing belt, and timing belt tensioner. Also check serpentine belt. I think they are rated for 30K. The cel kit fix will get rid of the SES as long as it is from the rear o2 sensor. I have a brand new balance shaft belt that I would sell cheap if you need it.

Advising mechanical O2 fixes are the best, but it seems like that is what you are talking about from ebay. Electrical may work but its kinda sketchy. I would recommend buying a high flow catalytic converter

Advising you check maintenance schedule in manual for recommended maintenance. Don't assume the previous owner did anything unless you have receipts.
