are the transer cases for the six sp. tranny and the five sp. the same? and i want to swap my six speed to a five sp. what do need? everything from the five sp. or just tranny? plus what do you guys think of the 2003 evo five sp. tranny? one more thing how much will it cost me to rebuild a 2003 tranny to hold up about 800 awhp? sorry for asking so many things at once...... lol i know I need the five sp. kit to change out my six sp. but not sure whats in that kit. thanks

 

The transfer cases all bolt up the same, differences are ACD vs non ACD and LSD etc. Why are you swapping out the 6spd, just curious. I would probably swap out the ACD before swapping the transmission. Shep's rebuild is about 900$. Call Shep or go to sheptrans.com

You need a few things to do the swap:
5spd tranny
Shifter Linkage cables
5spd shifter and shifter assembly
Transmission Mount
Shifter Linkage bracket
