924 whp EVO VIII and crankshaft

How good in an stock Evo VIII crankshaft. What is the most power it will hold without problem. I recently found that at this power level apparently an stock block didn't hold. I made an small crack on cylinder 1 with that power. The question is does an stock crankshaft will hold fine???

Thanks.

stock crank is fine from my experience and research.. The cylinders do crack on big HP sometimes.. for extra reliability you can cement fill the block and run alcohol..

USPMotorsports, is the alcohol easier on the block and internals than gasoline? 'Longer' burn result?

It runs signifigantly cooler I believe this is why you can run it and fill the block, you don't need to worry about cooling it with the alcohol.

Shizzle, 1 second too late

9sec9 im pretty sure the internals just care about rpm and boost, nothing else. Alcohol might do a better job of getting past the rings but im not sure its significant as I dont have any personal experience with it.

I dont have much experience with alcohol myself but my tuner does alot of alcohol rotaries. From what i understand with alcohol you can fill the block because alcohol does have a cooling affect. Many guys run no radiator, and no intercooler on alcohol.
