We are going to get a couple of sets made so that we can weight them against the stock glass.

It's not really recommended for street car because noise and temperature won't be insulated well, also for dd, the weight saving will be insignificant.
Side windows are quite light on our cars, but swapping out all windows should give a nice 20lbs or so weight reduction. This is important because after the roof, its the next highest point of weight on our cars. Also 20lbs is quite significant to people on weight reduction, as they count them by ounces.
I would love to buy but shipping to Hong Kong would probably cost at least half the price of the windows ><

Tim weighed the stock glass today:

Front windshield 24.6
Rear windshield 13.2
Front door windows 5.2 each
Rear door windows 6.2 each

Total: 60.6 Lbs

There ya go.

Lexan weights soon to come.

Eric

This would be a nice item to do at the same time as the carbon fiber roof, since the labor wouldn't be any extra.

Tim weighed the lexan kit that we just got in. Its half the weight of the stock stuff so there is a pretty significant weight savings

Front windshield = 14 lbs (keep in mind that this is 3/16 which is nhra legal)
Rear windshield = 6 lbs
Front side windows = 3 lbs each
Rear side windows = 2.5 lbs each

Totals up to 31 lbs
