The APS BOV is a HYBRID BOV. It mostly recirculates and only partially vents under high boost. I have datalogged my own car. There are NO issues with driveability nor excessive richness between shifts. If he already has this BOV, there is no reason to replace it. The APS BOV is probably the best reviewed aftermarket BOV on this forum.

The APS BOVdoesn't leak. I have pressure tested my own car and my APS BOV had zero boost leaks. Why is everyone bashing this BOV? Nothing wrong with a IX BOV but the APS works great too.

Meth injection would be a good gain in power and if done right should still be way under your budget. I personally like the coolingmist trunk mount kit. JMO....

We're bashing it because it sounds like your car is queefing every time you shift. Not because it leaks, unless you consider a queef a leak.

I'm what they call a newb here and even I know you need a boost controler and cams since you have an eight, and an ecu flash. post this kind of stuff in the newb area next time to avoid getting flamed

MBC, fuel pump, and a flash instead of SAFC.

Hey, my car also came with SAFC...and I am not too keen on it, but I thought to myself that if it did the job, why would I need to upgrade to an ECU reflash (notice I say this is an upgrade because you can control more things, other than just the AFR) Will be selling the SAFC very soon and getting a custom ECUFlash...here is the thread where I discussed it with various members of this board...https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=326505

Moreover...I have had previous experience re-flashing my E36 M3, my old civic with a K20A Type R engine, and the results were really worth it.

IMO, we are lucky to have such cheap solutions for re-flashing for the EVO...I had to pay for a Hondata K-Pro for the civic, and pay about $800 for the E36 M3 license crack the stock ECU.

The re-flash will also ensure that you maximize all your current mods...in my M3 I started with a baseline reading of 238 wheel HP, without any mods, and just re-flashing, I was able to squeeze out 255 WHP...
