Upgrades questions HKS 2835 Evo VIII

Hi all, I'm new here, just bought my Evo VII

The car is relly well cared, has 20.000 km on it and the engine blew 2 days ago !

The previous owner used a lot of nitrous in it, so the shop took the engine apart yesterday, and we found a broken piston.

I'm not that sad because I already have forged wiseco pistons ans pauter rods waiting to be instaled.

As the engine is open I'll instal HKS 272 cams with cam gears, new valves, springs and retainers.

Now I have 2 options to go, so I want some opinios wich way to go and what else do I need.

I have a Evo IX turbo with SS manifold, TBE downpipe O2 housing and a Unichip piggyback (the UNICHIP is already installed)

In other hand a friend who lives in Japan of mine offered me a HKS 2835 Turbo kit with external wastegate and all parts on it.

I also have a walbro 255 and bigger injectors waiting to be installed

1. Which way should I go ???
2. The HKS Japan kit claims 420 WHP is it true ?
3. Do I need bigger intercooler and better piping ?

help would be nice !!

i have the hks gt2835r kit. you'll have a good time with it. i've been running the stock intercooler, but a bigger one is always better. get the gt2835r. its a real gem. 420 whp is possible. i'm planning on running meth, so it might be stronger. good luck!

once you get around 400whp its always better to have a bigger intercooler.
