I don't know if you will ever find them cheap.

Any CNC'd Ti tid bit is spendy. You will find better prices than others but not cheap.

I'm looking too. I want ti retainers, hollow stem intake valves and sodium filled exhaust valves. Valve train weight and heat reduction.

I'm still looking for info on what I can do with valve springs. Cutting weight via Ti retaines and lighter valves may eliminate or reduce the need for double valve springs.

It depends on the weight cut and the cam grind. Upgraded springs are used to tolerate increased lift and prevent valve float as the ramp rates of the cams are higher. Lighter parts take less force to open (less mass to move) and less likely to float because the pring is'nt lifting as much weight.

Keeping the valve spring pressure close to stock keeps the cams easier to turn. But if the cam MFG is still worried about float with your valve train on that grind use the higher pressure springs.

To my knowledge HKS doesn't make titanium retainers for the Evo.

I know that whatever retainers are available are not going to be cheap. I just want a different alternative to paying $270 for JUN retainers. I'd also have to wait a long time as I don't know anyone that has them in stock.

I was wondering if there was any company stateside that sold titanium retainers to fit our application such as Crower or Ferrea.

Crower has them for the 4G63, however I am not sure if they would work with the Evo's 4G.

Wow, that's a lot of mark up.

maki quoted $270 for them but it'll take a couple of weeks for him to get them.
