Well, after getting my "loud exhaust" ticket a few weeks ago, I have decided to find ways to make my car quieter and draw less attention from the cops....

Then a few days after I get pulled over, my bro gets pulled over for loud exhaust on his S2K.....

I think the NYC cops are onto cars with modded exhausts as in the last few days weeks, while driving my beater, I have seen many cars pulled over with N1 style exhausts on the back....

I think the cops are also pulling over cars with dark tints as well, but anyway, today I put on my AMS hi-flo cat, and put my AMS silencer back into the exhaust.
I started it up and whew....it sounds more tame and quieter, plus I, and cars behind me don't have to breathe the fumes from having no cat.

I also have a 3" stainless steel exhaust cutout here which I'm waiting to install....
which I plan to use on the track, and also on the street when someone tries to mess with me.

I was wondering if anyone knows if I'll need a retune by running the cutout?

FYI: I got tuned on my 3" AMS TBE, no cat....I dont know if the cutout will make a difference though....

Yea the cops had a meeting last week that they hate modified exhausts and tint. They have never done it before. Just now.

If the cops are that strict then put on your stock exhaust with the cutout.

 

i dont think you will need a retune by using your 3" cutout if you are already tuned for your TBE
