meth or turbo?
OK, after a few months of not modding my new baby, it's about time to do so. My mods are currently:
TBE, walbro, mbc power wise on an IX SE
I'm definately getting some S1 cams, ARP studs
The dilema - An Evo Green or Snow performance meth kit
Would it be a good investment to also get a Lower intercooler pipe? Again heard the UICP is mostly for bling, plus I'd have to get a mini battery for it.
I've read the stock FMIC is good for the stock turbo so scratched that off the list for now.
Any suggestions on which I would go for first? I'll definately be getting them both, but not at this point. I've searched for the last two days trying to compare the two, but don't get much feedback for an IX, mostly VIII's. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Meth kit for sure. There is no need to upgrade to the Green if you are only going to run it on pump gas, the gains are negligible. I would suggest the Aquamist kit over the Snow, but that is my personal preference.
Meth by far. You are already on the IX turbo. On my stock VIII I upgraded to an AMS FMIC and SMC 100% meth and picked up 80tq. If you change to a green you wont pick up half of that torque but will cost you a lot more.

Well as far as the ICP, the stock one is alright, what sux is the black rubber connectors........ They expand to much at high boost (Either way I got the Injen Pipe & Intake Kit)....... The stock pipes are horrible lookin'

As far as the meth or green, well that's a choice i just made myself........ I got a meth kit, and I suggest you do the same! First of all- If you are lookin' at the Snow Performance Kit- you are also lookin' at less than half the price of a Green! . . Not to mention your car is healthier with a meth kit! . . . . Now you would even have money left over for Intercooler Piping or whatever...... Also, you have an Evo 9 right? . . . Well the green isn't much better than your stock turbo, I would max out the stock turbo before you think about a new turbo..... I think the green is a waste of money!........ Well that's my opinion!

I just don't understand why people want to throw their IX turbo away for a green, the IX turbo alone is awesome, especially on meth.
I know because that was my old setup. Keep your turbo and get yourself a meth kit. You will be very happy with the results.

If you want midrange and top end I suggest the meth. The green might make 20-30 whp but on the street the extra torque will make your car a monster. Expect 380whp on a green with pump and around 400 with the meth kit. Lets not not even discuss the torque differences either..
