The bolts are EGR antilag ports for JDM Evo engines. Not used on the Evo 8-9 USDM.

The manifolds typically only crack when used with a tubular O2 housing AND when they are HEAT WRAPPED.

i think if you heat it up and cool it down fast they tend to crack

DONT HEAT WRAP IT and also you will have better luck with it if you have an aftermarket motormount if you have a aftermarket 02 housing. The stock 02 housing is bolted on so it helps support the manifold, aftermarket ones arent and there for offer NO support. Then when the motor twists under load with the stock rubber POS mount, it cracks. With aftermarket mounts, the engine doesnt twist as much and then it doesnt put as much stress on the manifold to crack it.

I had my first one heat wrapped and cracked in 5 places.. The second and third one were not and they still cracked within 4-5 months.. I went back to the stocker..I did have an o2 housing and i did have a Forge motor mount too... I loved the sound of the exhaust with the manifold on, sounded like a bike lol!
