Thanks man, I bet that was a fun ride. Sound about exactly what happened to me.

Are you kidding me, gheyyyyy..... NOS works well, it is the most cost effective horsepower upgrade you can do. When used properly and in moderation it works very well.

Apparently he has never been to an NHRA competition. See one of those events and see exactly how effective NOS is...

Some people just talk to feel special on here I guess.

Wow that was quick! Did you make your own build or sourcing elsewhere?

You have PMs from me?

Those cams came out of the new motor I have actually.....

That is surface rust from no oil when they were shipped, I hot tanked them before I sent them out and thats why there is surface rust on them. If you would wipe the things off you would see that.

Id appreciate it if you would talk through PM and not my thread....

Sweet!!! Looks like the 55 shot went into that cylinder alone! The only people that talk smack about nitrous are the ones with absolutely no experience. Like previously stated: nitrous rocks when used correctly.
Good luck with the new setup man. Oh did you have direct port or a fogger setup on your old motor?

when he replied to my pm, he said the cams were ok & its just surface rust...i told then, if he feels confident about them, then he should have no concerns refunding my money & sell them to someone else.... i also told him that i would pay to ship them back.....he hasnt replied to me since...

he has chosen to not answer my pm's or emails, but post pics of his f-d up motor....

if he would have told me the cams were rusty from the get-go, i never would have bought them...

here are 2 pics of some lobes...all exhaust lobes had rust / all exhaust lobes are pitted.....

yeah, i need how to take better close up pics
perhaps some emery cloth would solve the problem? Thats just surface rust from not being oiled when shipped. I saw these cams prior to going out and they were perfect. Like he said he hot tanked them but i guess not oiled. There is zero pitting on that lobe.... thats all surface... Also perhaps if you wanted new cams you should have bought new cams?

A 50 shot is perfectly reasonable on a 400HP car with stock internals, but on a 500 WHP you definitly crossed the line. I am running a 100 shot on a 500 wHP evo, but I built the motor to handle it. (hopefully).
