pictures of evo 4-7 pistons and rods
hey guyes i was cleaning out my shop and i thought i would take some pics of the evo's stock rods and pistons,
the pistons with the larger piston skirts are from the evo-4
the smaller looking pistons is what you will find in the evo5,6,7.
havnt built and evo 8 motors but i doubt they are any different.
the rods and cast iron and the pistons are cast aluminium there not forged, the rods are allot smaller than many turbo motors like the nissan SR-20-DET. and have been known to bend easily,
i didnt keep any of the bent rods, and have rebuilt many of the evo 4g63's with after market rods and pistons, have to built one this week.
