I agree about it not being good for the next owner although all I'm doing is swaping the turbos. Its not like I'm ripping out the whole drivetrain and replacing it with a stock FWD Lancer drivetrain.

Sounds shady to me. Bad deal for the person who buys that IX. I wouldn't want to be in that persons shoes.

+1 on just selling yours and buying his IX.

^ I have mine almost paid off and do not want to get into payments again. Also I prefer the looks of the 8 and want to stick with it.

Most dealers stick it to the customer..... I wouldn't feel bad about swapping parts at all. In fact as mentioned above I would definately swap the seats. This is no different than modding your car beating the **** out of it then returning it to stock for the sale. Same same.

iam going to laugh when you swap those parts and your buddy tries to trade it in and they call him out on it and he comes back to you asking for money or the parts to be re-installed on his car so he can sell it.

I would not do it thats just wrong and no they wont be able to tell in less they know a lot about the evo and test drive it. But i doubt they would be able to tell. This is why people have so many problems with used evos

In my opinion I wouldn't do it. You benefit huge off of this deal. In the end it is still wrong. Personally I would send your lights to evodave and have them painted. Looks better than the IX's anyways. The interior is a given on which looks better. That would be the most harm I would do. Then now the turbo question. Yes the next person is going to have a slower evo but if they do know what they are doing a used IX turbo is cheap and maybe get a green instead. Give them that little push. Still wrong. Also I like what Jeff said about it is no better then trading in an evo beaten to ****. I would rather have the wrong turbo in my car than a ****ed up tranny. O wait I already bought one of those before.

I don't know you and I already think you're a piece of ****.

Just think of the poor guy who's gonna get stuck with a pretend IX because you wanted an extra 20hp.

The only think on the IX that will not make it a MINT evo is the fact that there are some parts off a evo 8...The car is one of the cleaniest I have seen and like revmoto said a slower car is better than a f'ed up tranny
