Silicon vacuum hoses
Silicon vacuum hoses
I don't claim to be a know all in this and obviously I'm not
:I bought a universal silicon hose kit from Pep Boys ($19.99). I replaced the BOV hoses, fuel regulator vacuum lines and the power brake booster (I had to cut out the one-way valve out of the stock hose).
I zip-tied all the conections. After the install I ran it at boost. When I returned a few hoses had blown off so I tightened the zip-ties. I ran it again. When I checked after a 2 min high boost ride, most of the hoses had colapsed into themselves. Obviously not good quality. I replaced all the hoses with the stock ones but I destroyed the brake booster when I cut out the one-way valve. LEASON LEARNED: DON"T BUY CHEAP ****!
I think the hoses from HOSETECHNIQUES.COM are of good enough quality to use. I think the wall thinkness was too thin to use on a turbo car.
