There is nothing wrong with the Injen kit. I've had it now for over 40k miles and run 22 psi daily. Never once had it blow off. It is REALLY hard to install though, and takes some creativity.

I don't have the injen kit, but you guys that are having issues with pipes blowing off should scuff the polished end that goes in the coupler with sandpaper & use some hairspray..... Pipes stay on & you stay happy

The stock licp really isn't that big of a restriction. People have made good #'s with the stocker. Plus, you don't have to worry about it blowing off because the brackets are holding it in place...or at least a less chance of it coming off.

+2

I'm not sure why everyone thinks that hot fast moving air prefers and larger pipe. Replacing the factory aluminum pipe with a bigger steel pipe without brackets doesn't make sense.

I'm telling you from experience..... I've had an AMS, ETS, and EBAY LICPs. None of them performed any better than stock. The turbo doesn't spool faster and the car doesn't make any more HP.

If you get the LICP for bragging rights thats one thing but hoping for better performance will leave you wishing you had the $100+ back.

Mine fits fine and has never blown off. I have spiked 25 psi and I'm not using t-bolt clamps.

looks as if you turned the pipe around that is going into the discharge pipe, you would be fine.....this is the first time i have heard of a ams fitment issue.....it looks more like assembly error to me...i could be wrong.....so the wife tells me all the time

Nope, thats the AMS intercooler bolted tight! Car has never been in a wreck. I moved the pipes around everyway possible. Believe me, if you were there you would of been as upset as me. I also have installed other intercooler pipes on several different of my friends cars, and never had any issues with other brands. I must have got a bent pipe or something.

Tom isnt joking, these things fit perfect, and for some reason it didn't he would make sure it does. AMS told me to go pound sand.
