changing clutch

I have 6k on my evo and have to replace the clutch. Im thinking of replacing it with a clutch masters kit stage 3 for $795.00
Does anyone have any suggestions about that? And I also ordered a RMR intake, I heard different things like loss of power or having to disconntect the negative on the battery after you install it and idle so the computer adjusts?? Im lost

disc the battery will reset your ecu.. so your ecu will start from scratch and reprogram itself so yes it would be a smart thing to do so your comp gets the a/f ratios with the extra air flow comin in.... the loss of power may be true bcuz i lost a few hp/torque with my custom K&n intake from altered atmosphere..... but once u get fuel management it should help a lil bit...

Thanks, Anyone on the clutch problem? Should I give the dealer $750.00 or pay $1250.00 for the Clutch masters stage 3 clutch including install? The 750 for the dealer is also with install.

$750 installed sounds like a great deal. Also, I have a question... why do you have to replace the clutch that soon? Do you drag race or go to track?

not at all just street racing, so you think I should just stay with the Mitsu clutch instead of the clutch masters(who claim that it is 110% stronger than stock)??

I just don't want my clutch to burn up again and thats why I would be willing to pay more for the stronger clutch but I really don't know much about clutchs. I also had an s2000 black 2002
loved it!

Thanks Turboz & Shahul X, The Clutch Masters clutch is online at there website for a stage 3 design its $795.00. The mitsu dealership says that to install a clutch it cost $850.00 for labor!!
I am going to pick up the clutch tomm. And I got the dearlership to drop the price of install to 400.00. So a total of $1195.00 for a new clutch, there goes my idea of getting a RMR down pipe with exhuast!!

you don't have to replace the line, just remove the restrictor at the slave cylinder.
And it is not proven that the restrictor is in fact the cause of all the failures, but it is a contributing factor.
