Al I wasnt trying to bash your accomplishments and I think its great you tuned the car yourself but I just wanted to make it clear that you guys werent the only ones to make 1000+ on a 2.0L 4g63.
A few points

I bought all the parts on my car with my hard earned money, wrenched it all together myself over the winter and busted my *** to get it done in time for spring

Just becuase I am also employed in the automotive field does not somehow deminish what I am doing

It seems that the DSM group despises those who decided to get involved in the "hobby" as a job and actually try to have a job they enjoy

I don't get the point of hating on people who make a living selling parts or a service.

I know this attitude is the mantra of the Team NABR which wont even let me sign up or otherwise contribute for some unkown reason.

Secondly

David who entitled the thread said it was the most powerful EVO 2.0 L

While your accomplishment is certainly impressive - it seems you do not have a Evo so you are unable to claim this record.

Al

I was there tonight to witness the accomplishment Al made on his Evo, I was recording the video CONGRATS on the 1016 awhp Al !!! Al did all of the tuning. There is more power to be pulled from this motor, 1100 should be no problem. It was getting late and he already beat his goal for 1000 awhp. We changed the tires and rims "20 lbs lighter each corner" and did 2 pulls but the tire spin was out of control when the turbo spooled, So we shut it down for the night.
I have been hanging out at ICS Performance in Connecticut for the past few days getting the final build done on my EVO and my tune will be on friday. I drove up here from Georgia 1000 miles to get the Evo build done and my tune. All I have to say is that the group of guys here are very professional and they bust their *** to get it done right the first time, these guys dont cut corners, they know their stuff.
And I had to get the tune done by Al, he has tuned my evo in the past and I have never had any problems NONE! im going to give these guys and
Thanks for your help !

I am honored to be of service to one of our nations heros.

Your car is a really well sorted and good looking car - its also an honor to work on such a great machine.

Al
All my respect to that Al...
i am having a workshop do my work and install for my car and i can yet have enough time to go spend time at the workshop to follow up the progress due to work...i also know how expensive this hobby gets..i mod with my earned money..and it broke my back to tell you the least...i wish my hobby was stamp collecting or photography...that would have been much easier on the pocket...

props to you al and 5 thumbs up for ya

I wanted to say a few things about what i did today after I have had to come down off the natural high

I built the entire car myself over the winter with my own two hands.

I have been trying to break dyno records and improve my power on dynos since 2001 at Pruven Performance where I was first trying to make 300 whp on my old bug eye WRX. I learned a lot of great stuff at the time from Dejon "dan" Cokic who deserves mention and whom did some fabrication of brackets on my car.

Along the way I met a lot of people who took the time to share some data and info with me and help me to learn about how to make fast cars

First and foremost David Buschur - he is a genious of 4G63 - period
Secondly Dan Buschur
John Shepherd
Ron Shearer
Marren Motorsports
George from ICS
Bernie and Yoni at Exedy
Harry from Prescision Turbo
Greg from Weldon fuel pumps
I also have to thank my customer's who's business is what keeps me alive and gives me the chance to continue with this project.

Finally, I thank my wife and daughter for putting up with my 18 hour work days and 7 day work week.

Al

Congratulations Al. Preferences, judgements, and politics aside, that is impressive and is a milestone for the Evo community. Nobody can deny that.

Apparently you didnt notice that i QUOTED what your boy David said and that was for me to find a hobby. Not once did i say anything about you getting free parts or sponsor help. Nor did i bash your career choice...

Secondly it wasnt titled the "highest hp 2L evo" several hours ago....

Later bro
