Exedy Twin is out of the question, 3 times as much as I am willing to spend on a clutch at this time.

I've hard a lot of people have had great results with the ACT HDSS unit, what compares to that in Exedy or other brands? Is it even worth looking at anything else or is that THE clutch to get (value-wise)?

There's a reason they're expensive.

So how long could one expect this clutch to last? for mileage (obviously pending how often this or that)

But could I go with this clutch, and then in the summer take my EVO to the track and run it a few times without worrying OMGWTF mate what did I break or ruin or wear out?

Get the clutch, stocker won't last much longer, your building alot of heat when tracking, and the pressure plate will fail just like mine did at 20k with very little abuse!

My Exedy twin HD has lasted 30K so far. I beat the **** out of my car. When it wears, I'll rebuild it.
