MBC vs EBC
MBC vs EBC
I've heard that people get spikes in their boost curves when using manual boost controllers (can anybody verify this?) Electronic boost controllers should be more accurate in controlling boosts w/ cockpit control ability....
However, MBC is obviously cheaper than EBC...
Here is David Buschur's view on MBC (from his forum)...
"The electonic boost controllers are SUPPOSE to be more accurate in controlling boost. Back when all the boost controllers used a rubber diaphram in them I would say that it was true. Marc Hallman actually came up with the entire ball and spring idea on the manual controllers. This system isn't effected much, if at all, by temperature and such like the old rubber diaphram was.
We use manual controllers on just about everything here. Our two race cars both run manual contollers. One has gone 7.81 at 175 mph and the other has gone 8.79 at 151 mph. The manual controllers work great.
Some people want cockpit adjustability for the boost. IF that is what you want then we have a cockpit adjuster, the kit is $165, this is what we are running in our EVO8 now.
David Buschur"
Can anybody comment on this debate of MBC vs EBC? I'm considering this b/c alot of the stage kits (by AMS, Buschur...etc) offer MBC while Vishnu doesn't...
Thanks!

I think because Vishnu can control it in the Xede.
Regardless, the MBC needs to be adjusted when the weather changes unless you get the remote control type that you can ountthe knob in the cabin. IMHO I think a manual with remote is just as good as an EBC considering the price.
