Question on dif fluid

hey just replaced my tcase with a shep T-case and have 3 bottles left of the red line synthetic oil, heavy shockproof gear oil. that i have for the tcase and was wondering if i could use it in the rear diff as well... thanks for any info.

Honestly, I'd just stick with OEM Diaqueen LSD gear oil.

Mitsu recomends a 90W in the rear diff which is what the OEM DiaQueen is. If that is not available then the next best choices would be Mobil 1 or Redline 75W-90 gear oil. I would not use the Shockproof; don't risk ruining your rear diff just to save a few bucks now.

Yes shockproof heavy is fine for the rear dif but you'll need to add a few ounces of GM LSD additive or it will chatter when you turn.
