So i changed my diff fluid today with the oem fluid. I bought the car used, I knew the previous owner had driven the car pretty spirited, but when I cleaned off the drain plug I found this! Anyone ever have a CHUNK like this when you change the diff for the first time?

No never had that prob! I have picked boogers bigger than that though. Are you still under warranty?

 

I dont think so, im at 37.5k and im the second owner.

ive changed gthe rear diff fluids on my car/trucks and def havent pulled out anything that big? id take a trip to the dealer and see if your still under warranty and have them atleast take a look at it before it gets any worse. better to be safe than sorry

 

Happens. Ring to pinion wear. If it starts to make noise, send it out for new ring and pinion from shepracing.com.
