Stay W/cosworths M2 or upgrade M3 or S2 ??

what's up guy need some input.

Right now I got cosworth m2 cams. Is it worth me upgrading to m3 or s2 with spring and retainers. I know on cosworth I would have to upgrade intake side 300$ + spring retainers 300-400$ + install ? Is it worth me upgrading ? How it would benefit me I know there both made for bigger turbo setup. But is it really worth it?

Evo ix

All Bolt on
cosworth cams
Ams hta35r
pump gas for now

Thanks
stan

Im running buschur racing gt35r, and cosworth m2's, but i have supertech dual valve springs, ti retainers, and buschurs stainless steel valve set.

Have you already installed the cams? If so dont rev past like 7800 or youll run into the same problem as me (dropping a valve)

If you havent already installed the cams, order a set of dual valve springs and retainers, and install it all at once.

Either way there is no point in changing cams, the M2s are amazing, and extremely agressive, and like i said theres no real point in "upgrading"

Yeah the M2 are in. I dont rev that high as it is. Maybe just set the rev limiter to 7600? To be safe. I know you need to rev high with a 35r.

7600 is fine, and safe .

Right now im only reving to like 7800 with all my upgraded valvetrain sooo, 7600 should be ok with only cams.

but yeah dont waste money upgrading your cams, it wont even be an upgrade.

S2s are are supposed to be similar to M2s so not need to upgrade there...

The M3s are more aggressive than the M2s (intake 280/11.6mm / exhaust same) but i dont believe that you can fully utilise them unless you can rev way past 8000 rpm and have a ported head...

Personally i will stay on my M2 cam set until i build the block and can rev 8500-9000rpm....
