I started my car today and the oil light barely came on...what I mean is it was very dim and went out, then came on dim again. When the idle dropped a little, it came on brighter. Since it flickered I barely tapped the gas and the light went out. Is this signs of the pump going bad? Need help. Cant be without my ride.

 

Pretty much have AMS Stages 1-3 minus the cams and tune. I put the intercooler in last night and today is when this started happening. Could it be from the mods and no tune or was it the intercooler messing with the MAF making it idle funny?

yeah check oil. also check for obvious leaks. hope your oil pump hasnt gone kapoot

 

Is that a "low oil" light or a "low pressure " light?

what were the rpms at?

 

probably a bad oil sensor mine was on it's way out with the same symptoms

 

rpm's about 800-1000. only does it after driving for a few mins

 

pressure sending unit bad perhaps?

 

hopefully if its cheaper than a pump...lol

 

lol that problem happened to me and my motor went boom a week later!!!!!

 

don't say that man!!!! Thats my biggest fear right now.

 

the light usually comes on if the rpm falls a little under 800 but as soon as u rev it goes away
