Best price on a Perrin 3" HFC (high flow cat)?

Anybody know where to get the Perrin HFC cheaper than this ($205 shipped on eBay from "high_performance_outlet_llc")?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...208991744&rd=1

Thanks in advance!

Does it have to be Perrin? I found a no name Cat-delete for 61.99. I'm thinking about getting that one. Any one disagree? I hope it's not too loud though

Yes. I need to have some sort of catalytic convertor to be legal for my autocross competition class (STU), plus I'd like to be somewhat socially responsible and minimize my emissions, since my car is also a daily driver.

The Perrin 3" HFC appears to be the best option for an inexpensive, bolt-in, stainless steel core cat for the Evo application (and it doesn't require relocating the oxygen sensor as well).

You should find out if that new 100 cell cat Abby is selling is legal in the auto-x class your running. That thing flows nearly as well as a test pipe.

COOL; thanks very much for the info RoadSpike... I just might go with that. If nothing else, looks like MIL.SPEC might be another option for porting my OEM exhaust manifold...

Don't waste your time or money on one. Its a POS. If you do buy one be ready to replace it about every 3 months, otherwise its just an obstruction to steal power.

Are you talking about the PERRIN or the MIL.SPEC or any metal cat in general? I have had my unit on the car for over a year and 30,000+ miles with nary an issue. Last time I took it off, the core still looked brand new.

If you are dumping raw fuel into the exhaust, no cat will last a long time. If you buy metal cats made in China, they may not last as long either. MIL.SPEC 100 cell cats are 100% made in America

I'm talking about the perrin. I posted a PSA about it in the proper place since I took this one off topic

Got a bolt-in MIL.SPEC unit (instead of the Perrin HFC) from Erik months ago:

Thanks though.
