Greddy Profec, wtf?

I went from having the profec b hooked up with the stock turbo, and it worked fine. I put in my new turbo kit and hook it up to the external wastegate and it doesn't work. I hooked the vacuum lines up, COM to top of the wastegate. The NC to the turbo pressure source and t'ed to the side of the wastegate. No matter what I set it at, it shoots up to 30lbs or more. Does any one use this boost controller? And if so, how do you have it hooked up? Thanks.

You hook it up different than an internal WG.. External WG you need to switch the Solenoid nipples around, look in your manual....

Yes, I've done that already. I think the problem may be in the settings, maybe. I turned the setting to 10% and now I'm getting 23lbs. (which is what I was getting from the wastegate) I'm gonna take her out tomorrow and make some more adjustments and see what I can come up with.

Different turbo will need different settings... Start low and work from there...

I was really surprised. I had it set at 240 with the stocker and ran at 23 lbs. I had to back it down to 10 to get 23 out of the new set up. Didn't think it would be that big of a difference.

I'm having a similar issue - spikes all the way up then settles down and holds on all sorts of settings. Hoping I can find a fix for it using the same technique you used.

I know it's an old thread but what are your settings?
