US Evo front lsd

Here's a subject that has'nt been discussed for a while. My research leads me to believe that the Mitsubishi front helical lsd from the Evo V rs will fit in the US Evo. This diff has to be modified with stronger bolts in the case halves as sheared bolts was a problem. Otherwise, this diff is a pretty good unit. It is a Torsen-type, so it suits my application. Can anyone confirm whether this diff will in fact fit the US car? I may end up being the guinea pig.
Cheers,

I have talked with the folks at Quaife. They told me they have no plans to introduce a front diff for this car.

He used a RalliArt LSD that RalliArt UK said would fit the USDM Evo. They were wrong, the housing is totally different in the US. I heard this from shiv himself, since I PM'ed him about his experiences installing the LSD.

wtz- please be the guinea pig, I especially want to know how "do it yourself" this mod really is. Where in the US are you located? If you're nearby, I'd love to help out.

Any news on This? I have a front LSD off an Evo VII without AYC, and ACD. Also had a ralliart but end up selling the LSD to some guy in Europe since there are too many talks that it will not fit. This had been discussed but really no explanation on why it does not fit. Is it the bolt pattern? LSD Dimension? Anyway to make this work?

Maybe we should do a little more investigation? I will lend the LSD to anyone for test fit (maybe to somebody that is doing a clutch work) to put this issue to rest. This will benifit everyone here in the community. I am from San Francisco Area if anybody is interested.

wtz should ahve his operational soon I hope - right now there are no bolt in solutions that involve just fitting an LSD, though I have a feeling that swapping x fer cases that encompasses an LSD should work.

Have you found a Cusco LSD that works? I am interested in a 1-way front, stock center (or possibly a stronger center), and 2-way rear diff. Any info is appreciated...

Okay all, here is what I know. Adam from Z1 got me a Mitsubishi helical-type front lsd that fits an Evo V. I had access to a blown VIII open diff and case thanks to Ferrarokid. We compared the two diffs, and everything dimensionally is the same except for the OD of the V lsd at the ring gear case end. All of these parts are currently at Taylor Race Engineering for modification. I will report more when I know as I have'nt spoken to Craig Taylor recently. I will call him next week.
Cheers,
