I'm replacing BR 680 cc fuel injectors with 880 cc Precisions I've bought used from a forum member.

The BR injectors had extra spacers for the fuel rail, which I had to remove to put in the Precision injectors. After bolting down the fuel rail, the injector plugs will not fit over the fuel injectors. There are "fingers" on the OE fuel rail which are preventing the plugs from fitting.

It looks like I might be able to plug in the injectors with the fuel rail loose, then bolt down the rail. But, this would mean the fingeres on the fuel rail would be touching the injector plugs. Is this right or am I missing something?
