Need your help Identifying this part!!
Hey, I need some help figuring out what this is and what it does!! I bought my wrecked 06 IX MR from a friend and am rebuilding it.
Behind the driver side headlight, there is an aluminum 'pump' looking housing, connected to what looks like an old distributor cap with brushes and a rotating coil. This has lines that run back towards the transfer case, but I'm not sure of its function being this is my first evo!
I will take a picture of whats left of it tonight when I run out to the shop, but maybe someone can help with this discription, if not I'll have pics up later tonight!!
