Okay heres an update and I still need help I went and did a complete boost leak test...had a one minor leak on the bcs lines fixed it and anything else. No exhaust leaks that I could find. Still have the P0304 (cylinder 4 missfire)code. All thats on my car is a drop in filter and turboback exhaust right now. I included 3more logs I just did. Two of my car and one of my friends bone stock IX MR. Could somebody see if there is anything wrong that you can see in the log?

I was pretty certain my fuel trims were off indicating a bad injector but now I am not sure. Going to the dealer tommorow but I dont want them tearing into my car without an idea of whats wrong.

What was it. I am throwing a p0300 & p0301. Same thing as you, just different cylinder! I changed coils around, checked the wires, changed plugs, checked the resistence on the injectors, did a boost leak test, compression test, checked the EGR, and so far everything was great. Still get the codes though. The only aftermarket parts on the car now is the exhaust and clutch. Other than that I am back to stock. My fuel trims are out just like yours.

Another question.... If your engine is cold (I mean overnight cold) start it and give it a couple quick blips of gas. Only up to the 2000 - 2500 RPM range. Does the car stumble?

Yes the car would stumble if blipping it while cold. Turned out the be a bad valve seal or burnt valve I guess. I Really dont see how that would happen. I bought the car basically new and I know the previous owner babied it like no other. I get the car back tommorow though from the dealer. I guess they have seen a few cases of this on very early IX's as mine was one of the first IX's in the country.

Trust me I'm not stupid. I tested EVERYTHING before taking it to the dealer. Once I took it there I knew it was something not typical.

bummer. For future reference, a leak down test would have identified this problem. I hope the dealer did show you some love on pricing.

I had the same thing happen on a car at my dealership, it was a bad valve also.

We did a leak down test. That why I have a warranty too.

Glad you figured it out, sorry it was bad news. So they mentioned that this was a common problem with early IX's? I purchased nov 05.. probably one of the first AS MR's like yours.

My car is a big pile of ****, it will probably blow up instead of just having a bad valve.

They didn't say it was common but they had seen a few isolated events. I was really suprised myself. Also mine was an Oct or Nov MR too. But now its like new.
